The Oratory (or Chapel) of Saint Rocco and Saint Sebastian was built in 1480. Located in Riomaggiore, in the vicinity of the Castle of Riomaggiore, it is reminiscent of the times when the pestilence struck the local community. The statue of Saint Rocco, which is placed in the architrave, was designed and carved such as to render the effects of the plague, as the community witnessed right before the building of this place of worship.
