The Aurora Tower is one of the most celebrated tourist sights in Monterosso al Mare. Its was built by the Genovese during the 16th century as part of the local defensive system against the pirate attacks, and, just like the Castle of Monterosso, it is located in the very center of the town, pegging out the border between the old district and the modern Fegina.
